Leaders and managers are being asked to use coaching techniques when managing their workplace relationships.  There is a difference between coaching and mentoring.

A coach is a person who gives personalised training that will improve an individual’s skills knowledge and technique.

A mentor is similar to a coach; except that a mentor teaches by example; by role-modelling; demonstrating the skills that the learner can then emulate.

To be a coach and a mentor is a privilege and honour.

To be a good coach and mentor requires a high degree of skill.   It’s not enough to tell people what you want them to do and expect they’ll do it, you need to be able to understand what it takes to get the best out of each individual. One size doesn’t fit all.

All participants may be eligible to acquire a much sort after CMI Coaching and Mentoring qualification with additional support and completion of written assignments.  From the day’s workshop, you will attain much of the underpinning knowledge necessary to complete your assignment.  However, once you are registered with CMI you will automatically have access to the array of online material to support you further. You can also get a year’s FREE affiliate membership subscription to the internationally recognised Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
